Layla LeBlanc will be featured as CBC's Young Athlete of the Day on Tuesday Dec 1st
Layden LeBlanc will be featured on Thursday Dec 3rd
And Gabriella Abutu will be featured on Friday Dec 4th

FALL SKATE 2015 RESULTS

Yarmouth Skating Club had seven skaters travel to St Margaret's Bay on Nov 21st. They all had excellent skates and we are very proud of them all!
A HUGE thank you to Megan and Natalie for all you did for the skaters on Saturday to help them!!

SEVEN SKATERS FROM YSC TRAVEL TO ST MARGARET'S BAY FOR FALL SKATE 2015

There is live video streaming of Fall Skate 2015 being held this Saturday in St Margaret's Bay. It is a paid service. There is a flat rate fee which would give you access to watch the whole day of competition. Below is the link to Bruce Dempsey's Online Video Streaming site.

OFF ICE ATHLETIC STRETCH SESSION FOR STARSKATERS ON TUESDAY NOV 17TH FROM 8-830PM AT THE MARINERS CE

FOR ALL STARSKATERS:
There will be an off ice athletic stretch session with Trainer Tessa Moorehouse on Tuesday Nov 17th from 8-830pm
Please bring a yoga mat.
This session is open to all STARSkaters regardless if you skate on Tuesday nights or not.

OCTOBER'S CANSKATERS, PROGRAM ASSISTANT AND SPIRIT SKATERS OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to our October Canskaters of the Month Emma Hemeon and Chase d'Entremont!
Emma is 11 years old and she loves to skate really fast! She also loves to skate backwards and working on gliding on 1 foot. Her favorite subject in school is Art Class. She also plays baseball and soccer!
Chase d'Entremont is 4 years old and his favorite part about Canskate is the cool down songs at the end of the session that he can dance to :) He likes to go to Grandir en Francais with Madame Denise and playing on his tractor and trampoline. He also loves to play with his baby brother Westyn.
Our Program Assistant (Canskate PA) is Bailey Pitman. Bailey is always on time and very helpful to the Coaches in setting up the Canskate Circuits and getting the teaching aids on the ice. She is excellent on the ice during the Canskate Session in making sure the little ones are engaged, safe, happy and having fun!! Congratulations Bailey and Thank You for all your help!!
Yarmouth Skating Clubs Spirit Skater of the Month is Jasmine Lefave. Jasmine is an excellent Canskate Helper! She is always on time and loves to help set up the teaching aids and assist in the warm up routines! She also works very hard during her own STARSkate practices and listens well to the Coaches!

STARSKATERS EARNED SKATE CANADA CRESTS IN FALL 2015

The following STARSkaters earned Skate Canada Crests this Fall
Sharlie Pinksen earned her Introductory Interpretive Crest
Shayleigh Doucet earned her Senior Bronze Skating Skills Crest
Kylie Landry earned her Skate Canada Senior Silver Dance Crest, her Gold Interpretive Crest and her Gold Freeskate Crest. She has earned Skate Canada Triple Gold Skater status with these 2 Gold tests in combination with the Gold Freeskate Elements test she passed in December 2015 and Gold Skating Skills she passed in June 2015
