Skate Canada Programs: AdultSkate

Adult skating is growing in popularity and more and more clubs are offering recreational, test and competitive opportunities to this segment of the population. Adults participate in CanSkate, STARSkate and CanPowerSkate programs as well as on synchronized skating teams. Adult championships currently provide opportunities to adult skaters to experience the challenge of a competition in a fun, social environment. Skate Canada is currently expanding its programming in this area.

Yarmouth Skating Club offers Adult Skating lessons in a few different ways.

If you are a past Figure Skater looking for some ice time we do have spots for you during our Figure Skaters regular STARSkate sessions.

If you are looking to learn how to skate we have offered adult skating classes during the Mariners Centre's noon time public skating sessions. We only run this program when there are sufficient numbers to do so. Please contact us at yarmouthskatingclub@hotmal.ca 

If you are an teen or adult hockey player looking to improve your speed and agility you can register for the Powerskating Programs as this are mixed ages and not just for children. We offer Powerskating in our Spring, Summer and Fall Sessions. Regretably we do not offer this program in the Winter as interest has not been high enough and our coaching staff is more limited during the winter season.
